Sugar Cookies

Ingredients:
1 Cup butter, softened         
3 oz. cream cheese, softened
3/4 Cup Sugar                    
1 Egg                                 
1 tsp Vanilla                       
3 Cups All-purpose Flour    

Directions:
Step 1: Combine all ingredients, except flour, in a 
large mixing bowl. Beat at medium speed, 
scraping sides often, until creamy.

Step 2: Reduce speed to low, add flour. Beat until 
mixed well. Scraping sides often.

Step 3: Divide dough into 2 equal portions.

Step 4: Wrap portions, individually, in plastic 
wrap and refrigerate until firm. At least 2 hours.

Step 5: Pre-heat oven to 375° F.

Step 6: Bake for 7-10 minutes or until edges are 
lightly browned.

Step 7: Remove cookies from cookie sheet and 
cool completely.

Chocolate Chip Cookies
(Makes approx. 48 servings)
Ingredients:
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter (softened)
3/4 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
(OPTIONAL)
1 cup  chopped nuts

Directions:
Step 1- Heat oven to 375°F. In small bowl, mix flour, baking soda and salt; set aside
Step 2- In large bowl, beat softened butter and sugars with electric mixer on medium speed, or mix with spoon about 1 minute or until fluffy, scraping side of bowl occasionally.
Step 3- Beat in egg and vanilla until smooth. Stir in flour mixture just until blended (dough will be stiff). Stir in chocolate chips (and nuts if desired)
Step 4- Onto ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart.
Step 5- Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown (centers will be soft). Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes. Store covered in airtight container.
